Fifth Season Of Netflix Series ' The Crown ' Goes On Floor In Summer | PP Movie World

 

The Crown's fifth and much-anticipated season will begin filming in July of this year. With Olivia Coleman as Queen Elizabeth, Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, Tobias Menzies as Prince Phillip, Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher, and Emma Corrin as Princess Diana, the fourth season, which premiered in November 2020, became the series' most celebrated season yet. The fifth season is set in the present day, with a new cast arriving in the United Kingdom to begin filming.

According to Variety, the new cast is making its way north of London to Elstree Studios in preparation for a summer shoot. Production is expected to begin in July, after any Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted, though they will heed all precautionary advice in any case.

New faces will join the squad in the fifth season. Princess Diana will be played by Elizabeth Debicki; Prince Charles, her estranged husband, will be played by Dominic West; Professor Umbridge from Harry Potter, Imelda Staunton will play The Queen in The Crown. Princess Margaret will be played by Leslie Manville, and Prince Philip will be played by Jonathan Pryce of Game of Thrones. The rest of the cast is unknown.
