Godzilla Vs Kong Movie Review

PP Movie Rating:- ***1/2 (3.5/5)

What Is The Story About?

Godzilla is introduced as a villainous reptile who will murder and wreck havoc on the planet for no cause. Kong, on the other hand, is a vengeful ape who only bends for a little girl with whom he interacts through sign language. When these two meet for a fight, the rest of the world tries to break things down and stop the damage.

Analysis

Godzilla vs Kong is a film that has been released in both theatres and on demand, but it has been handled in such a way that anyone watching it on either screen would have a blast. Without losing any time, the action kicks off on the 5th minute and continues in full force. We also start to get a little antsy when the human characters appear on screen, but what we really want to see is the appearance of the two huge monsters in the film and how they battle it out. Those expecting a touch of class in the film would be disappointed, as it follows the format of a B-movie but never compromises on the thrills it provides.

Performances

In a film that is mostly about monsters, there isn't much to tell about humans. Godzilla vs Kong, on the other hand, is fortunate in having a strong ensemble star cast to back it up. Millie Bobby Brown has once again proven to be outstanding and deserving of praise.

Music and Others Departments

The technical aspects of the film are excellent, and it's refreshing to see a film that gets the visuals correct, despite the fact that the theme and size necessitate a large number of VFX shots.

Highlights

The last 20 minutes are a healthy rollercoaster ride.

Drawbacks

The film doesn't have much of a plot to work with, so it's content to focus on the brawls.

Did I Enjoy It?

Definitely. This is a hugely entertaining film that gets the majority of its details correct.

Do I Recommend It?

Yes, indeed. This one is worth watching this weekend, regardless of where you see it.
