Paramapadham Vilayattu Review

PP Movie Rating:- *1/2 (1.5 Star/5)

What Is The Story About?

When a local party leader is unexpectedly hospitalised, chaos ensues in the political scene and for Dr. Gayathri (Trisha), who accepts the leader as a patient. However, he dies mysteriously soon after, drawing Gayathri into a web of conspiracies and twisted realities.

Analysis

The idea of Paramapadham Vilayattu might be intriguing enough to create a compelling tale, but the treatment and screenplay of the film are as old as the hills. Thirugnanam, the director, takes his time spoon-feeding every detail to the audience, and the film follows a tried-and-true course where every step is predictable. The film has a few twists and turns that keep our attention, but it doesn't add up to much goodness and follows a dull course. The first half of the film establishes the plot, but the second half is spent treating clichés like old wine in new bottles, including the tired twist of the film that has already been seen in a slew of other films.

Performances

Trisha is the film's leading lady, and she does a good job overall. Her role and appearance in the film aren't particularly memorable, and the film might have benefited from a few more colours. With his lowly body language, debutant Vijay Varmaa has an annoying presence in the film that doesn't add something positive to the picture. Nandha and the rest of the cast do their best to provide it with what it needs, and they succeed to some degree.

Music and Others Departments

The film's cinematography, cuts, and music are all functional.

Highlights

The film's plot is somewhat intriguing.

Drawbacks

The way the movie is told is as hollow as it gets.

Did I Enjoy It?

There's no way. It's one of the most uninteresting movies I've seen in a long time.

Do I Recommend It?

No, it's not true. By cancelling your plans to see this film, you can save time.
